UAE – The International Association of Operative Millers Middle East and Africa Region (IAOM MEA) has announced that its 34th Annual Conference & Expo will take place from November 10th to 13th, 2024, in Dubai, UAE.

This event aims to bring together industry professionals and researchers from the flour and feed milling, commodity trading, machine supplies, and food processing sectors for a comprehensive three-day program.

The conference and expo will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), a venue known for its extensive facilities and capacity to host large-scale events. The conference program includes keynote presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and panel discussions focusing on the latest trends and challenges within the industry.

The expo will feature a variety of suppliers showcasing their latest products and services, providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The IAOM MEA Conference & Expo alternates annually between the Middle East and Africa, drawing delegates from numerous countries and involving participation from many exhibiting companies.

The three-day program will include sessions on Management, Technical/what’s New, Feed Milling Technology and trends, and Trading, with contributions from international and national speakers.

The Dubai World Trade Centre, hosting the event in the Sheikh Rashid Hall, offers over 1 million square feet of space and is recognized as a significant venue for events and exhibitions in the region.

This setting will support the conference’s goals of facilitating the exchange of ideas, providing technical and educational opportunities, and presenting new products and services.

Earlier in the year, the IAOM MEA hosted a regional milling forum in Lusaka, Zambia, from February 27th to 29th at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lusaka.

The forum provided a platform for discussing innovations within the milling industry, supported by key industry players such as Bühler Group, AIT Ingredients, Tanis, Eurogerm, and Omas.

With a history dating back to 1896, the IAOM is a global organization that unites flour millers, cereal grain, and seed processors, along with allied trade representatives and companies dedicated to technological advancements in flour milling, cereal grain, and seed processing.

The IAOM MEA’s Regional Forums program extends to Sub-Saharan Africa, the Maghreb (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia), and the Middle East, facilitating annual gatherings that rotate between these regions. These events aim to foster connections among technical millers, offer networking opportunities, and showcase technologies and solutions from leading suppliers.

The 34th Annual IAOM MEA Conference & Expo in Dubai is expected to build on this legacy and provide attendees with insights into the industry’s latest advancements.

The 33rd Annual Conference and Expo, held in Cairo, Egypt, from November 13th to 15th, attracted delegates from over 50 countries and more than 100 exhibiting companies.
