UK – Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), a leader in agricultural solutions, has collaborated with Ooni Pizza Ovens to create a unique line of pizza flour cultivated from wheat using regenerative agriculture practices.

This partnership aims to promote sustainable farming while enhancing the quality of pizza consumers enjoy.

The launch event occurred recently in the UK, where partners from the flour value chain gathered to celebrate this milestone.

The initiative is part of ADM’s broader regenerative agriculture program, launched in the UK earlier this year.

This program focuses on supporting farmers in adopting practices that improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, and conserve water resources.

By working closely with local farmers, ADM aims to foster an outcome-based approach that benefits both the environment and agricultural business development.

During the launch event, attendees enjoyed delicious pizzas made with the new flour paired with craft beers, coffee, and desserts—all featuring ADM ingredients.

This celebration highlighted the quality of the products and showcased the potential of regenerative agriculture to produce high-quality food.

The collaboration between ADM and Ooni Pizza Ovens is particularly significant as it aligns with a growing trend in the food industry towards sustainability.

Ooni, known for its innovative at-home pizza ovens, is excited about this partnership. Regenerative agriculture has gained traction due to its potential to combat climate change and improve food systems.

By using techniques such as cover cropping and reduced tillage, farmers can enhance soil fertility and biodiversity while minimizing environmental impact.

This collaboration reflects a larger movement within the food industry to adopt regenerative practices.

Nestlé has also been investing in similar initiatives for its DiGiorno pizza brand, partnering with ADM and Ardent Mills to support wheat farmers in implementing sustainable methods across more than 100,000 acres of farmland.

Steve Presley, CEO of Nestlé Zone North America, emphasised the importance of these efforts: “As the world’s largest food and beverage company, we have a tremendous opportunity to help create a regenerative food system.”

The positive outcomes of regenerative agriculture are becoming increasingly evident. Recent reports indicate that farms participating in such programs have successfully sequestered significant amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere—equivalent to removing hundreds of gas-powered cars from the road for a year.

As partnerships like that of ADM and Ooni Pizza Ovens continue to grow, they pave the way for a more sustainable future in food production.

This collaboration not only celebrates delicious pizza but also highlights the importance of responsible farming practices that benefit both people and the planet.
