INDIA- Ag Growth International Inc. (AGI), a global provider of solutions for food infrastructure, is expanding its manufacturing capacity at its facilities in Bengaluru, India, to accommodate the production of its flagship brands, AGI Westfield and AGI.
The expansion at AGI Bengaluru includes a dedicated 4,180 m2 (45,000 sq ft) production space specifically for portable grain handling equipment.
The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, such as laser cutters, robotic welding machines, benders, formers, and advanced painting systems.
It upholds ISO certifications 9001:2008 for quality management systems and ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management systems.
Paul Householder, President and CEO of AGI, emphasized the importance of this decision, stating that the initiative will increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and help lay the foundation for ongoing growth.
“The successful completion of both the product transfer from our Canadian facilities and the production ramp-up at our AGI Bengaluru facilities ensures that no matter where in the world your AGI equipment is made, you receive the same excellence in quality, reliability and durability,” he remarked.
AGI holds a global leadership position in portable grain handling, offering top-selling products such as swing-hopper augers and belt conveyors. It operates manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Brazil, India, France, and Italy, and has a widespread global product distribution network.
The initial offerings from the AGI Bengaluru plant are the AGI Westfield STX2 and the AGI XTA truck augers, and they are engineered to withstand challenging field conditions. They come with features such as longevity, rapid grain delivery, large capacity, and enhanced maneuverability.

According to Rustom Mistry, Senior Vice President of the Asia Pacific region, the strong historical connection of AGI’s augers with grain farmers in Australia and New Zealand dates back to the introduction of the Westfield brand.
“For our dealers and growers, enabling more localized supply within the APAC region means better service and shorter lead times. We anticipate these changes to prompt further demand for AGI portable grain handling products throughout the region in 2024 and beyond,” Mistry stated.
