USA-Anchor Ingredients, a premier specialty ingredients supplier to the food and pet food industries worldwide, has acquired a grain handling facility in Hatton, North Dakota, US, as part of an auction.
The grain storage facility has close to 700,000 bushels of storage with drying capabilities and the strategic move underlines Anchor Ingredients’ dedication to enhancing and guaranteeing its supply chain capabilities to the premium pet food market.
Anchor said the addition of the facility will allow it to expand its pet food ingredient portfolio and processing capabilities.
The grain handling facility’s location is particularly noteworthy, Anchor said, allowing it to provide the company’s farm-level partners with “an efficient, year-round delivery site for their raw materials, ensuring a continuous supply for ingredient processing across Anchor’s network of facilities.”

Founded in 2015, Anchor Ingredients operates six value-add processing plants across North Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana, and has sales offices in California and Minnesota.
The company is focused on food safety, quality control, and premium ingredient processing of pearled barley, peas, flaxseed, chickpeas, oat groats, ancient grains, organics, and other specialty crops for food and pet markets.
The company’s in-house processing capabilities include cleaning, milling, packaging, blending, and organics.
By combining a strong origination network and company-owned processing facilities, Anchor Ingredients has created one of the only true end-to-end ingredient supply chains in the specialty grain industry.
