AUSTRIA – Azelis, a prominent player in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients sector, has announced a significant expansion of its collaboration with Soy Austria, a leading manufacturer of natural, sustainable soy-based ingredients for the food industry.

Following a successful initial phase in Central Europe in 2023, Azelis’ customers in Eastern European countries, the Nordics, the Balkans, and Türkiye will now have access to a diverse range of high-quality, non-GMO soy products through this new distribution agreement.

With a legacy dating back to 1989, Soy Austria has established itself as a trailblazer in the natural soy-based solutions market in the country.

Focused on delivering sustainable solutions, the company’s production adheres to the highest European quality standards, utilizing soybeans sourced exclusively from the EU.

Their product offerings encompass various forms of soy-based ingredients, including grits, flour, flakes, and textured soy protein, catering to a wide array of applications across bakery, confectionery, dairy-free, and savory food sectors.

Pioneers in the industry, with a strong focus on natural and sustainable solutions, this collaboration aligns with Azelis’ strategy to grow its portfolio of plant-based, environmentally friendly ingredients.

Through this expanded partnership, Azelis aims to meet the growing demand for sustainable food ingredients while further solidifying its position as a leading provider of innovative solutions in the food and nutrition market across Europe.

René Skarnager, Managing Director at Soy Austria, expressed enthusiasm regarding the expanded partnership, stating, “We are delighted to share that our partnership with Azelis is expanding. This collaboration not only extends the reach of our high-quality products but also fits perfectly with our shared commitment to sustainable development.

The extension of the collaboration reflects Azelis’ strategic focus on expanding its portfolio of plant-based and environmentally friendly ingredients.

Andrey Zhukov, Market Segment Director of Food & Nutrition EMEA at Azelis, emphasized the synergy between the two companies, stating, “The extension of this mandate is a testament to our excellent collaboration with Soy Austria over the past months.

Zhukov further highlighted the expertise of Azelis’ laboratory experts and sales teams, which will be leveraged to introduce Soy Austria’s products to new markets.

He noted, “Customers’ demand for the products offered by Soy Austria is strong, and we look forward to introducing them to our innovative solutions.
