USA – Bay State Milling Company, one of the largest family-owned milling companies in the United States, has launched Wingold Wellness multi-purpose flour, a better-for-you blend that offers three times the fiber without losing the quality.

According to a World Grain report, the multi-purpose flour is a healthy and cost-effective substitute that offers important prebiotic fiber benefits at a time when consumers are prioritizing digestive health.

Additionally, the better-for-you blend comes at a time when 95% of Americans are not consuming enough fiber daily, hence it can help to close the dietary fiber gap in consumers’ diets

Founded in 1899, Bay State Milling has proudly provided exceptional quality flour and plant-based ingredients to the grain-based foods industry.

The company specializes in retail and wholesale bakeries, foodservice operators, distributors, and food manufacturer

Made by Bay State Milling’s HealthSence, the high-fiber wheat flour Wingold Wellness is a 1:1 replacement for traditional refined wheat flour made from a single ingredient-wheat.

According to the company’s website, the new product is capable of delivering a good source of fiber across several applications including pizza, pasta, bread, and tortillas without the need for fiber additives.

The flour is available in 50-pound sacks for all manufacturers and distributors and is assured of the same taste, functionality, and quality as traditional refined wheat flour, the company insisted.

Ed Fish, vice president and general manager of Bay State’s varietal solutions business unit commenting on the innovation said that;

“We’re excited to offer an innovative take on our legacy product to meet the growing consumer and industry demand for natural foods that have real health benefits,” he said.

He added that the product launch provides a glimpse into the future of HealthSense, which can be used to easily elevate and extend both legacy flour brands and our customers’ products.

The launch follows the recent announcement of the promotion of Keith Adams to executive vice president of core wheat milling.

Adams, who has been with the company for 15 years was mandated to continue managing the core milling business operations while taking on new responsibilities to strengthen the company’s skills and knowledge, supply chains, and relationships with supplier partners
