USA – Bay State Milling, one of the largest family-owned milling companies in the United States, has announced the promotion of Keith Adams to executive vice president of core wheat milling.

Adams, a milling science graduate from Kansas State University, has been with Bay State Milling for 15 years.

He started his career as a plant manager in Wichita, Kansas, US, in December 2007 and has grown to serve in diverse managerial roles as director of operations strategy and director of engineering.

In his new role, Adams will continue managing the core milling business operations while taking on new responsibilities to strengthen the company’s skills and knowledge, supply chains, and relationships with supplier partners

His job description also entails overseeing the transportation and logistics for US operations to ensure reliable supply chains and customer satisfaction. In addition, he will manage the procurement department.

Founded in 1899, Bay State Milling has proudly provided exceptional quality flour and plant-based ingredients to the grain-based foods industry.

The company specializes in retail and wholesale bakeries, foodservice operators, distributors and food manufacturers

As stated on the company website, Bay State Milling’s purpose has been to provide food ingredients to promote the growth of nutritious, sustainable, and accessible food choices.

Adams’ promotion follows the recent appoint of Nicole Gasaway as the Bay State Milling’s first chief people and impact officer.

Nicole was joining the company from Blue Diamond Growers where she served as senior vice president of human resources and communications.

In her role at Bay State Milling, Gasaway plays a key role in the cultural evolution and continued strategic growth of Bay State Milling, focusing on talent development, advancing the company’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and more.
