CAMEROON – CESCO has announced the successful inspection of civil works in preparation for the erection of a state-of-the-art steel mill building and external grain storage plant in Cameroon.

This project, financed by the German bank AKA-Bank with the support of the German Euler Hermes Export Credit Insurance, signifies a significant step forward in the region’s industrial development.

Based in Konstanz, Germany, CESCO is a company with extensive experience and expertise in the grain industry, offering turnkey plant solutions to its clients.

The company offers a complete portfolio of handling, storing and processing systems. Products include chain conveyors; belt conveyors; bucket elevators; cylindrical, prismatic, flat and hopper-bottom silos; buffer bins; processing equipment; and steel structures.

Last week, a dedicated team at CESCO, led by its Senior Supervisor, conducted a thorough inspection of the site to ensure that all groundwork is correctly in place before commencing the erection phase.

This included verifying the precise positioning of anchor bolts and finalizing preparations for the pouring of concrete.

“We are excited to see our vision taking shape in Cameroon,” said Martino Celeghini, chief executive officer of CESCO. “The meticulous inspection of the civil works is a testament to our dedication to quality and efficiency. We look forward to continuing this momentum as we move into the erection phase.”

In addition to on-site efforts, deliveries of crucial components from Germany, Italy, and Spain are progressing smoothly, further solidifying their timeline for this exciting project, CESCO said in a press release.

With this milestone reached, CESCO stands firm in its promise to provide excellent industrial plants and to contribute to the growth and development of the region.

The plan follows a recent milestone in the grain industry in Cameroon after İmas, a Turkish machinery manufacturer, completed a new 160 tonnes per day (tpd) flour mill for the World Food Industry, one of the leading food and retail groups headquartered in Yaounde.
