USA- The Board of Directors of COFCO International, a prominent global agribusiness, has announced the appointment of Dr. Martin Fritsch as a Non-Executive Director and the chairman of the audit committee.
Dr. Fritsch, a seasoned international leader with a distinguished career in global finance functions within the logistics industry, is poised to bring his wealth of experience to the esteemed Board.
With an impressive background, Dr. Fritsch served as the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at VFS Global, a prominent company in visa outsourcing services.
In this role, he led finance, internal audit, merger and acquisition, and procurement functions, demonstrating his expertise in multifaceted financial leadership.
Before joining VFS Global, Dr. Fritsch gained over two decades of experience at DHL, a global logistics company. His various responsibilities included serving as CFO, Chief Compliance Officer, and Business Transformation Officer, showcasing his diverse skill set and leadership capabilities.
Austrian by nationality, Dr. Fritsch holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, emphasizing his dedication to academic excellence and profound understanding of business principles.
In his new role, Dr. Fritsch has been appointed as the Chairman of the COFCO International Audit Committee, where his expertise in compliance, accounting, internal controls, and investment will be crucial.
Additionally, he will serve as a member of the Investment Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Dr. Fritsch is taking over from Pierre Lorinet, who resigned from the Board in 2023. Richeng Luan, Chairman of COFCO International, expressed gratitude to Lorinet for his contributions to shaping the company into a global agribusiness powerhouse during his tenure as a Non-Executive Director.
