TAIWAN- CPM, a process equipment and engineered technologies provider, has acquired Taiwan-based IDAH in a bid to expand its global position in aquafeed, pet food, and plant-based protein processing markets.

IDAH has grown from a small 1974-founded plant in rural Taiwan to operating from six global offices serving more than 21 countries.

IDAH specializes in pelleting, extruding, and drying equipment, most notably for aquafeed, pet food, snack food, and plant-based protein markets.

The IDAH brand has a reputation for high-quality spare parts, machines, and services. The company is also a top shrimp feed machine solution provider and a provider of aquafeed equipment in Southeast Asia.

The merger with CPM will unite two industry leaders behind a shared mission to sustainably grow the feed industry and build a better world.

On the other hand, CPM  is a reputable feed equipment manufacturer with almost a century of experience in the animal feed industry, with branches in more than 10 locations.

The joining of these two successful enterprises will bring a new dimension of solution and service offerings to our customers, thanks to the perfectly complementary nature of our product portfolios,” said David Webster, CPM CEO.

The CPM officials are optimistic that the merger will utilize the strong team and capabilities of both businesses to strengthen their share of the global market in the feed equipment industry.

IDAH expresses the same optimism that their shared vision will sustainably accelerate innovation and provide robust solutions that meet the evolving needs of our global customers.

The future of the IDAH business is bright as we celebrate this milestone of joining CPM,” Danny Chang, general manager at IDAH, commented.

According to the two businesses, integration activities are underway with IDAH joining the CPM Process Solutions business unit, a center of excellence focused on innovative solutions for the consumer food, animal feed, and advanced materials industries.

CPM Process Solutions business unit is led by Charlie Spearing, general manager, and is comprised of the following product brands: Century Extrusion, Extricom, Ruiya, Wolverine Proctor, Planet Dryers, TSA Griddle Systems, and now IDAH.

Customers and business partners will continue to be served through their current contacts as CPM and IDAH remain committed to delivering the highest level of service to their customers.
