USA – Crispy cookie brand Fancypants has launched its latest seasonal offering, Ginger Snap cookies, as part of its commitment to high-quality, flavorful treats.
Announced on September 26, 2024, the new cookies are available for purchase at a suggested retail price of US$5.99 per bag, with three-packs priced at US$19.99 and six-packs at US$34.99.
The Ginger Snap cookies are crafted using premium ingredients, including real butter, eggs, and sugar, combined with King Arthur Baking Company’s and innovative upcycled oat flour.
Maura Duggan, the founder and CEO of Fancypants, shared her connection to this flavour.
“Growing up, my grandmother always had a cookie jar on her counter filled with ginger snaps; even though she baked all the time, she didn’t bake those—they were store-bought,” Duggan reminisced.
She emphasized her desire to recreate that nostalgic flavour in her cookies: “I loved them then, but as an adult, I haven’t found one that tastes as good as I remember.”
To achieve a distinctive taste for the Ginger Snap cookies, Duggan explained that the Fancypants team focused on enhancing the spiciness of the ginger.
“We decided to really lean into making our Ginger Snap on the spicier side to make it a striking flavor,” she noted.
This approach incorporates powdered and crystallised ginger, complemented by cinnamon and cloves, to create a well-rounded profile.
“The result is spiciness from the ginger that is prominent but not harsh,” she added. “There’s lots of flavor and depth in this cookie with a nice long finish.”
Fancypants has established itself as a brand committed to quality and sustainability.
All products are non-GMO verified and kosher-dairy certified, produced in a completely nut-free facility.
The use of upcycled oat flour contributes to their cookies’ unique texture and aligns with their eco-friendly practices aimed at reducing food waste.
In addition to Ginger Snap, Fancypants offers a variety of other flavours such as Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip, Gluten Free Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate, Oatmeal Raisin, S’Mores, and Salted Caramel.
Each cookie is designed to deliver a homemade taste using natural pantry ingredients without artificial additives.
Ginger snap cookies were introduced earlier this fall after the successful launch of other seasonal flavours, such as pumpkin chocolate chip.
This previous release combined organic pumpkin puree with dark Belgian chocolate chips and various spices, showcasing Fancypants’ dedication to crafting delicious seasonal treats that resonate with customers’ tastes.
Duggan’s vision for Fancypants is rooted in family traditions and sustainable practices. She aims to provide delightful snacks and positively impact the environment through responsible sourcing and production methods.
