USA- Insomnia Cookies, the popular late-night bakery chain, has reached a significant milestone by opening its 300th store globally, with the latest location in Seattle, Washington.
This new bakery in Seattle’s University District marks the brand’s first establishment in the city and is part of a broader strategy to expand its footprint across North America and beyond.
The grand opening event is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, at 8 PM, where local residents are invited to join in the celebrations.
Insomnia Cookies plans to offer various promotions throughout the week leading up to this event.
Seth Berkowitz, CEO and founder of Insomnia Cookies, expressed his gratitude for the brand’s growth over the past two decades.
“Our first store opened in 2003, and as we celebrate our 21st birthday this October, I’m so grateful to our community of Insomniacs that has grown beyond my wildest dreams,” he stated.
Berkowitz emphasized that the company’s commitment to creativity and customer satisfaction has driven its success.
“This tremendous level of growth in such a short time wouldn’t be possible without our loyal Insomniacs and employees,” he added.
In 2024 alone, Insomnia Cookies is projected to open 55 new locations—its highest annual total.
This expansion includes bakeries in key transit hubs, such as New York’s Penn Station and an upcoming location at Washington, D.C.’s Union Station.
The company has ambitious plans for future growth, aiming to establish over 1,800 bakeries across the United States within the next decade.
Insomnia Cookies began its international expansion in the summer of 2023, opening locations in Canada and the UK.
Partnerships with investment firms Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners have supported the brand’s strategic growth.
These collaborations have provided the necessary resources for Insomnia Cookies to enhance its operational capabilities and meet increasing consumer demand.
The opening of the new Seattle bakery is not only a milestone for Insomnia Cookies but also a significant addition to the local community.
Residents can expect delicious cookies and engaging events that foster connections among cookie lovers.
As Berkowitz noted, “We look forward to reaching future milestones that allow us to create even more connections over warm cookies.”
