TURKEY- Stern Ingredients one of the world’s leading suppliers of food and feed ingredients, has announced plans to bolster its Turkish production capacity.

Stern Ingredients offers services in the fields of flour improvement and enrichment, vitamin and mineral premixes, enzyme systems, cooking components, and special enzyme mixes.

According to a LinkedIn post, Turkey has offered tailor-made solutions for the production of flour, bakery products, vegetable alternatives, dairy, meat, and delicatessen products since 2012.

Now, in its new expansion process, a new 1350-liter mixer will increase the production capacity of Stern Ingredients Turkey by 30%.

According to Stern Ingredients, the company will be operating with three mixers in two shifts on a production area of 800 m² and storage area of 3000 m², responding to market demands even more swiftly.

With our increased production capacity, we will be able to supply the markets in Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa much faster and more efficiently. With our international network and supply chain, we offer solutions for the future with 100 years of experience,” says Cenk Engin, Operations Manager at Stern Ingredients Turkey.

Moreover, the Turkish facility offers support in all technical and commercial matters and is facilitated by a 300m2 research and development section and an equally large office space.

Engin added that with the increased production capacity in Turkey, Stern Ingredients would also “… create employment and foreign exchange input by exporting directly to the Turkish market (where we also use our raw materials mostly used in export products) and to the geography around us,”

The company currently exports its offerings to 144 countries and is one of 19 subsidiaries operating in 16 countries globally, and this expansion will allow it to meet the growing demand for flour ingredients.

As part of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe we, speaking for ourselves at MC as well as for our sister companies in the group, all work together intensively to combine our knowledge and experience for our customers in the food industry around the globe” read a LinkedIn post by Mühlenchemie.

As part of its strategic growth process, Stern Ingredients expanded its operations in Africa, opening its third African location, Stern Ingredients South Africa, in June this year with 400 square meters of space, plus flour and grain analysis equipment.
