UK – Snacking giant Pladis has announced an exciting addition to its McVitie’s lineup with the launch of a new range designed to elevate the evening snacking experience.
The McVitie’s Signature collection introduces three indulgent varieties, each crafted to deliver both rich flavors and luxurious textures.
The new range features Caramel Chocolate Rounds, which combine a gooey caramel center with a crunchy biscuit and a thick layer of milk chocolate.
This creation promises a delightful blend of textures and tastes. Another variety, the Chocolate Caramel Biscuits, includes golden-baked biscuits topped with caramel, coated in milk chocolate, and finished with a sprinkle of biscuit crumbs.
This combination offers a satisfying mix of crunch and creaminess. Finally, the Chocolate Cream Swirls are designed with a velvety-smooth chocolate cream filling nestled inside a crunchy, patterned biscuit, providing a refined and indulgent snacking option.
James King, Marketing Director of McVitie’s at Pladis UK&I, highlighted the inspiration behind the new range:
“Our research shows that shoppers are hungry for more choice and inspiration when it comes to evening snacking. Alongside more indulgent flavors, they’re looking for visually appealing treats and exciting textures, but this isn’t currently being fulfilled when it comes to biscuits.”
King further elaborated on the new range’s sensory appeal, noting, “Our new McVitie’s Signature range delivers a sensory experience that proves sweet biscuits can be just as indulgent as other treats.”
Alongside tasting great, it also ticks the boxes when it comes to looking mouthwatering, delivering multi-textures including chocolate – everything needed to help drive growth for sweet biscuits during this occasion by making sure they are seen as an evening snacking essential.
This introduction is part of McVitie’s broader strategy to refresh its product offerings.
Earlier this month, the brand also unveiled two new varieties of its popular McVitie’s Digestives biscuits: Seriously Chocolatey Digestives and the limited-edition Gold Digestives.
Additionally, a new cocoa-flavored version of its Rich Tea biscuits has been launched, further expanding the brand’s diverse range of products. With these innovations, McVitie’s is set to cater to the evolving tastes of consumers looking for premium snacking options.
