USA – Whoa Dough, a gluten-free and plant-based snack company, is making significant strides in its retail expansion by introducing its products to 222 Super Target locations across the United States and on Target.com.

This initiative commenced on July 7, 2024, with Target stores now offering Whoa Dough’s Chocolate Chip and Sprinkle Sugar Cookie Dough Snack Bars in convenient four-pack varieties.

Todd Goldstein, the founder of Whoa Dough and a resident of Chagrin Falls, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture, stating, “Expanding into a national retailer like Target allows us to provide a sweet, better-for-you snack that checks all the boxes for families.”

He emphasized the importance of offering allergen-friendly snacks that cater to various dietary restrictions. “Our crave-worthy bars are perfect for families looking for allergen-friendly snacks that meet various dietary restrictions,” he added.

The snacks produced by Whoa Dough are designed to be allergen-free, utilizing ingredients that are gluten-free, vegan, egg-free, soy-free, and dairy-free.

Additionally, they are non-GMO Project verified and certified kosher by the Orthodox Union. This commitment to health-conscious ingredients aligns with a growing consumer demand for tasty and nutritious snacks.

Since its inception in 2020, Whoa Dough has rapidly gained traction in the snack market. The company initially launched its products in local grocery stores and online platforms, including Amazon and its website.

Goldstein strategically sought partnerships with various distribution channels to enhance brand visibility and consumer adoption.

Notably, Whoa Dough has successfully collaborated with American Airlines, providing its snack bars to first-class passengers, which has significantly boosted brand exposure.

“When we did the analysis, it was profitable, plus the amount of product we got into people’s hands would have cost us over US$5 million if we did it from a true direct consumer marketing effort,” Goldstein explained.

The timing of this expansion is particularly strategic, coinciding with the back-to-school season. Goldstein noted, “This launch coincides perfectly with back-to-school season when parents are gearing up to shop for all the necessities. Our cookie dough snack bars are the better-for-you option to pack in kids’ lunchboxes, backpacks, or mom’s purse.”

This approach not only targets families but also aims to establish a long-term customer base among children who will grow up enjoying these snacks.

In addition to retail partnerships, Whoa Dough has made inroads into school districts across the country, where students can sample the bars.

This initiative has proven effective, as children often request the snacks from their parents after trying them at school. Goldstein remarked, “If you can get product into a kid’s hands at 5 years old or 8 years old, you’re building a lifelong customer.”

As Whoa Dough continues to expand its retail presence, it remains committed to providing delicious and healthy snack options.

The company’s focus on allergen-friendly ingredients and strategic partnerships positions it well within the competitive snack market.

With a growing consumer base and innovative distribution strategies, Whoa Dough is poised for continued success in the coming years.
